Terms of Service — SpeakMyDoc
Effective: September 20, 2026
These terms apply when you use speakmydoc.net, the SpeakMyDoc Chrome extension, or an associated account. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
SpeakMyDoc provides browser-based read-aloud tools and account-based document, translation, cloud voice, and audio-export features. Features, supported formats, limits, and availability may change as the service is improved. We aim to describe current capabilities and limitations on the relevant product and pricing pages.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by a failure within SpeakMyDoc's control. Notify us through the contact page if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your documents and permitted use
You retain rights in content you submit. You give SpeakMyDoc and its service providers permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the requested service.
You must have the right to process the documents you use. Do not use SpeakMyDoc to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute unlawful content, bypass access controls, attack the service, abuse quotas, or interfere with other users.
Plans, billing, and renewal
Current prices, billing periods, included usage, and plan limits are shown before checkout. Paid plans are subscriptions and renew for the displayed billing period unless canceled before the next renewal. PayPal processes payment. Taxes or currency conversion may be added by the payment provider where applicable.
You can request cancellation from Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not normally end access before the current paid period finishes. Deleting the extension or simply stopping use does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed subscription charges are generally non-refundable after the paid service has been made available. If you believe a charge is duplicated, unauthorized, technically unusable, or otherwise incorrect, choose Billing and cancellation on the contact page and include the account email and PayPal transaction reference. We will review the circumstances; this does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Usage limits and availability
Plan allowances and concurrent-job limits are enforced to manage provider cost and service reliability. Unused monthly allowance does not roll over unless the pricing page explicitly says otherwise. Temporary interruption, browser differences, source-document quality, OCR accuracy, and third-party provider availability can affect results. Review extracted text and generated audio before relying on it.
Intellectual property
SpeakMyDoc branding, interface, and service software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant a right to copy, resell, reverse engineer, or impersonate the service except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access to protect users, providers, or the service; respond to abuse or legal requests; or address a serious terms violation. You may stop using the free service at any time and may cancel paid renewal through the billing settings.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, SpeakMyDoc does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect OCR or pronunciation, compatibility with every document, or suitability for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, SpeakMyDoc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice.
